Life Drawing

Caron graduated as a Teacher of Art in 1998, teaching Life Drawing to adults for over four years, with 6 years experience of teaching adults in total. Initially, she set up the group in Crystal Palace because there was no other groups meeting and drawing from the figure. The class consists of artists with or without experience. Others have developed a recent interest.

This is mainly a drop in class and an opportunity for people to make use of a large open space with lots of natural light. Predominantly she teaches the fundamentals of drawing from the figure. The start of each class consists of quick sketches and drawings based on movement or static poses. Gradually poses become more sustained. The culture is to have a model pose for two straight hours and to have the same pose for four to five weeks. This particular class is un-tutored.

Caron trained as an Illustrator and Painter, the love of drawing and use of watercolours together with a wealth of knowledge and experience is a bonus to those that she teaches. This group attracts people of all levels and abilities. It's also a great space with a piano, easels and some basic equipment, but it is advised you bring some of your own equipment including your own sketchbook.
